(10-26-18) Thanks to the wonderful world of the web, information and hosta lovers can interact on a daily basis.
The one issue facing all of us, from the US, to New Zealand, to Korea and to Europe is the sharing of hostas between countries. With regulations in many countries the sending of plants from one country to another is not allowed, the good news, seeds can still be sent to many of these same countries.
From New Zealand
Jeff White commented on his experience with seeds around the globe –
I have sent and received seed from all over Europe and to Larry and Madelon in New Zealand. I have found that if I send in a bubble envelope mailer mark it as photos it is cheaper and gets there faster. I have sent dozens of overseas mailers of the years.
I will say that growing seeds from somebody from the other end of the world and even better they growing seed from your own garden is one of my favorite things in this hobby…….hard to think that happened much pre-internet time.
The one thing we know for sure, hosta enthusiasts are the same no matter where they live.
